This week was super good! I really like it up here in Whittier! It isn't as hot as it was last year, but then again, I don't even know if summer has officially started yet or not. Give it a few months and we will see!
My new companion is Elder Cuello. He was born in Argentina, but moved to Arizona when he was five. He is super cool. We get along great! I have enjoyed this past week with him. This week was really very good. We have, right now, more current investigators then I have had previously on my mission at any given point. Right now, we are just trying to see who is actually interested and who we can get to progress to baptism and accept these blessings we are offering them. We were not able to get anyone at church yesterday which is super lame. We had a few saying they will come, but then they didn't . Straight up, I blame the world cup!
I am actually not really sure what to say this week... I don't really know anyone well enough to comment. There is this couple, Ignacio and Trinidad. We talked to them; Elder Cuello said they are ready for baptism, They say they aren't. We went over the baptismal interview questions, they answered everything perfectly! We have a lesson with the bishop to talk with them about it. Man, this week went sooooo fast! I really just am blanking on what happened...
Doctrine and Covenants 45:57-58 says" For they that are wise and have received the truth, and have taken the Holy Spirit for their guide, and have not been deceived- verily I say unto you, they shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire, but shall abide the day. And the earth shall be given unto them for an inheritance; and they shall multiply and wax strong, and their children shall grow up without sin unto salvation" This is pretty cool. If we are wise, we will accept the truth when it comes our way and when we do that, we will not be damned to eternal woe, but blessed with eternal families. So, be wise and do good things! :)
Have a good week!!
Love,
Elder Lloyd
